Just go into firefox type into address bar
about:conf
search for gmail
you will see on second option
firetool-mail:http://mail.google.com/mail/?view=cm&fs=1@to=to&subject=su&body=body&cc=cc&bcc=bcc&name=Gmail
change it to
firetool-mail:http://mail.google.com/a/namit.org/?view=cm&fs=1@to=to&subject=su&body=body&cc=cc&bcc=bcc&name=Gmail

SETUP OLD EMAIL
Retrieve Other E-mail
Enter in password twice
STEP 2
SETUP FORWARDING/FILTERING
go to options -> filters
Create filter
to/cc header: youremail@student.dit.ie
choose folder
select
DIT Old Email -> inbox
ok
ok
Apply filters now, go to gmail
you have email now
SETP 3
SETUP GMAIL
Get mail from other accounts:
Email address: your_email@student.dit.ie
Username: student number
Password: old password
pop: change mail.student.dit.ie to mercury.dit.ie
I have it labed but its up to you.

Just have two things to suggest:
1. in step 2 when setting up the filter, I would like to change the rule of filtering to 'contains' instead of the default one 'begins with'.
2. When you finish to set up your gmail in step 3, it's better to create

really really funny when fred said about wep keys in eircom units where autogenerated i really did not beleave him but now that have it working on new units its working quite well and can get wep keys of most eircom access points.

So am in the process of registering CK Computer Solutions to start working on my own full time after college. Got to get more clients and people to work for but with running around and talking to few people with time will hopefully get them.
